MAI Capital Management has acquired OG Private Wealth for an undisclosed amount. The transaction brings the Ohio-based private wealth firm into MAI’s expanding advisory network, adding a team focused on business owners and high net worth families.
OG Private Wealth, founded more than 15 years ago, provides retirement planning, wealth management, and financial strategy services to individuals and families. The firm emphasizes a relationship-driven approach, working closely with clients to define personal goals and execute long-term plans. Its staff brings experience across tax-sensitive retirement design and asset management, with a stated mission of helping clients maintain clarity in complex financial decisions.
For MAI Capital Management, the acquisition strengthens its presence in the private wealth segment, particularly among entrepreneurs and family offices. MAI, which operates as a registered investment adviser with a national footprint, has been expanding through selective acquisitions of established advisory firms. Adding OG Private Wealth allows MAI to deepen its service offering for clients with concentrated business assets and succession planning needs, while also broadening its geographic reach in the Midwest.
The deal is expected to integrate OG Private Wealth’s client relationships into MAI’s existing platform, which includes portfolio management, financial planning, and institutional-grade resources. OG Private Wealth’s team will continue to serve its current clients, now with access to MAI’s broader operational infrastructure and research capabilities. No changes to client-facing services or team leadership have been announced.
The combined entity will operate under the MAI brand, with OG Private Wealth’s advisors retaining their roles. The acquisition reflects ongoing consolidation in the wealth management industry, where larger firms seek to acquire specialized practices to expand their client base and service depth. Financial terms were not disclosed, and the deal is expected to close in the coming months pending customary conditions.
