Allegion has acquired Overly Door Company, a Greensburg, Pennsylvania-based manufacturer of custom acoustic, blast, bullet-resistant, and vault security doors. Founded in 1888, Overly Door Company specializes in serving the U.S. government, education, and healthcare sectors.
The acquisition adds to Allegion's hollow metal doors and frames portfolio. The source noted that in high-security environments such as government, specifications make substitution difficult and margins tend to be strong.
Overly Door Company will operate within Allegion US, reporting under SVP Dave Ilardi. Tyler Reese and Jonathan Reese will join to lead the transition. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
