Project Splinter has completed its acquisition of Pallet Logistics. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
This marks Project Splinter's second acquisition in the Romanian timber sector. Project Splinter stated that its strategy is to build a group spanning timber processing, furniture manufacturing, pallets, and logistics in Romania. The company noted Romania's established wood-processing industry and its position on the Rhine–Danube transport corridor as factors making it a compelling place for this strategy. Project Splinter added that pallet and logistics businesses, such as Pallet Logistics, add capabilities and routes to market. The company's aim is to acquire strong businesses and invest in them to help them grow together.
