Femasys Inc. has secured $30.0M in new funding, with Nantahala Capital Management providing the capital. The biomedical company, focused on women’s healthcare, is developing products for reproductive health, including a non-surgical permanent birth control option and a directed sperm delivery device for infertility treatment.
The company’s commercial priority remains FemVue, its ultrasound-based product for fallopian tube assessment, already marketed in the U.S. Femasys is also working on a tissue sampling platform intended for use in physician offices. The fresh capital arrives as the company continues to push its lead candidates through development, though specifics on how the funds will be deployed were not disclosed.
