Turning fragmented field-level signals into actionable risk alerts, Finches has closed a $2.3M pre-seed funding round. The Munich-based startup is building an intelligence layer for agricultural sourcing, aiming to prevent a significant portion of the €184bn lost annually across global supply chains due to factors like drought, pests, and geopolitical friction.
Finches tackles this by transforming observations from its Finches Field mobile app for agronomists into structured data, which then feeds into Finches Intelligence for procurement teams. This early warning system helps procurement leaders across Europe act before a stressed leaf or pest cluster becomes a missed harvest. Investors in the round include HTGF | High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), Vanagon Ventures, Bayern Kapital, and UnternehmerTUM Funding for Innovators.
