Founded by Jeff Green and Jim McDermott, Fluxnium is taking a different route to uranium production: recovering uranium already dissolved in seawater instead of mining it from rock. Its high-surface-area fiber, developed with a leading U.S. national laboratory, passively adsorbs uranium as seawater moves across it.
