HAWK Biosystems has raised $3.9M in funding from Inveready. The Basque biotech, formerly known as FASTBASE Solutions, was founded by Spanish and British scientists from the Francis Crick Institute in London.
The company has developed technology for discovering and quantifying new biomarkers. Its QF-Pro assay is designed to determine with high precision which patients will respond to immunotherapy and to stratify patients for treatment. HAWK offers QF-Pro as a service for biomarker discovery and quantification in FFPE tissue and cell samples, along with custom assay development.
