Carbon isn’t just a waste stream anymore-it’s a feedstock for diamonds. HexSeed Technology has raised $819K in a seed round backed by Carbon13, Net Zero Technology Centre, and Vento.
The startup is turning captured CO₂ into high-value supermaterials, starting with lab-grown industrial diamonds that carry a low-carbon footprint. Rather than treating carbon as a byproduct to bury, HexSeed sees it as a raw material for advanced manufacturing-a bet that could give industrial diamond production an environmental edge while keeping the material’s performance intact.
