Speclipse, Inc. has raised $11.1M to push forward a cancer diagnostic tool built on laser-induced plasma spectroscopy and artificial intelligence. The company says its core technology, Spectra-Scope, is the world's first cancer diagnostic solution based on LIPS and AI.
Spectra-Scope is designed to diagnose skin cancers in real time, non-invasively and in vivo, without sacrificing accuracy - and, the company argues, without the unnecessary biopsies that often follow a suspicious lesion. Speclipse frames the technology as a way to assist physicians with challenging diagnostic cases.
