Superluminal Medicines Inc. has raised $60.0M in a Series B round, a vote of confidence for its bet that generative biology can compress drug discovery timelines from years to months. The Boston-based startup uses machine learning and proprietary data infrastructure to model protein shapes and design highly selective compounds, with an early focus on high-value GPCR targets.
The round drew a deep bench of healthcare and tech investors, including BVF Partners, Deep Track Capital, Perceptive Advisors, RA Capital Management, Insight Partners, and Eli Lilly and Company, among others. Superluminal says its lead program candidate is expected in the near term, which would put its platform to the test.
