RadianX has raised $5.0M in seed funding to build solar components that go where conventional panels can't. The company, formerly California Perovskite Technology Inc., makes flexible photovoltaic components designed to conform to any surface and run on either indoor or outdoor light.
The round drew a long list of backers: SOSV, Twynam, One Small Planet, Sachsen Ventures, Avila VC, California Innovation Fund, quantumEDGE, Riceberg Ventures and Alumni Ventures. RadianX is pitching its components at manufacturers and innovators who want to embed renewable power into consumer, industrial and IoT products, leaning on power density and a lightweight design as the selling points.
